Follow the steps in the Climate Control Install Guide to remove the climate control circuit board.
The blue circles indicate the stock LED's that we will be removing.
To remove the stock LED's put your soldering iron on on of the LED leads on the back side of the board (opposite side from the LED lens.) (Red Arrow.) While doing so, pull the lens of the LED in the direction that the blue arrow is pointing. The lead will start to come out of the board. DO NOT FORCE the lead out, when the solder is soft, is should slide easily. You will not be able to get it all the way out yet, but that is okay. Allow the solder joint to cool slightly (enough for the solder to harden.) Next do the same thing with the other lead, and pull the LED in the opposite direction. Let this side cool and start the next side again. You will basically "walk" the LED out of the circuit board. Repeat this process until all of the LED's are removed.
Now it will be hard to get the new LED's into the same holes because there is some solder in the hole. Use some de-soldering braid and put it over one of the holes. Hold the soldering iron on top of the braid. Hold it there for a short while, and you will see the braid "soaking" up the solder. Be careful because the braid will get hot. Keep using the braid until the holes are cleaned of any solder.
Next just put the LED's in so the positive LED lead is on the side indicated by the picture below. If the LED lead does not go into the hole DO NOT FORCE IT, use the solder braid to clean out the solder a little more until the LED just slips in.
Put some solder on the back side of the board on the LED leads connecting them to the circuit board, and cut off the extra leads from the LED.
