Remove the expanding clips that hold the front of the center console in by reaching behind and pushing the middle pin out. (There is one on each side.)

With the seats as far forward as possible go behind the seats to remove the screws that are holding the rear of the console. (There is one on each side.)

Go back to the front of the car, sitting in the drivers seat. turn the car to the "on" position, depress the brake pedal, and move the shifter all the way back to "2". Remove the 2 screws on the front of the shifter. Take the shift knob off and set it aside.

Remove the center console by rotating the back upward. Pull the front back an inch or two and the console will be free to be pulled out, straight up.

On the drivers side of the shifter you will see a red and black wire going into the side of the shifter assembly. The the plastic at the end of the wires and turn it a 1/4 of a turn counter clockwise. Pull the light out. Place the LED in the holder where the light was. Put the light back in the socket and twits it into place.
